Internet Treasure Hunts & Scavenger Hunts

For your entertainment, here are some of the many Internet Hunts that appeared in the newspaper during the 7+ year lifespan of Pam's Random Access column. The Internet Hunt was one of the most popular features of the column and beginners, particularly, found them to be a great way to learn about searching the Net. Enjoy!

The rules are simple. There are ten questions in each Hunt. They vary in difficulty on a scale of 1 to 10, where 1 is easiest and 10 is hardest. You may use any search tool you like in order to find the correct answer. Please don't send your completed hunts to me, or write me for the correct answers.

Just in case you get really frustrated, the correct answers are provided. However, please be aware that the answers provided here were written several years ago. Some of the strategies suggested may no longer be valid because of the ongoing evolution of search engines and their syntax.
